Remedial & Support Services
Customized Reading Intervention
- Indiana Horizon Academy provides customized reading intervention for individual students or small groups in KG – 8th Grade. Reading instruction is determined by assessments of the student's required skills and strategies, as well as their current instructional reading capacity.
- Explicit instruction in phonics and phonemic awareness for grades KG – 3rd Grade, fluency-building activities for individuals or small groups.
- Summer tutoring sessions are held for students who have taken the IREAD assessment but are at risk of failing the assessment in third grade
- Summer tutoring sessions are held for students who have taken the IREAD assessment and have failed the assessment in third grade.
